Awana stands for
Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed based on 2 Timothy 2:15.
Awana’s main purpose is to teach kids to “Know, Love & Serve” God in all ways.
Awana clubs are unique in bringing children up in God’s Word by training them to be grounded in Scripture. Children work together at home and in their club to achieve awards and knowledge when working through their handbooks.

Boys and Girls, Ages 3 – 4:
Cubbies spend their year focusing on God the Creator, God’s special book, God made me and so much more. Whether it’s learning through non-competitive games, puppets, sing, stories, music and much more, the Cubbies learn in their own unique style in a program based just for their age!

Boys and Girls, SK – Grade 2:
Sparkies are our “lights for Jesus!” Their focus is on their key verse, John 3:16, “For God so loved the world…” Clubbers work through a handbook a year, reciting and reviewing God’s Word in a very tangible way. Clubbers are encouraged at club and at home to work through material to earn their Hang Glider through Storm Flyer awards. Sparkies also take place in their own official Sparks games!

Boys and Girls, Grades 3 – 6:They begin their journey with the Ultimate Adventure where the program focuses on answering their question about the Bible. This curriculum helps kids build a firm foundation in Biblical truths! As Clubbers progress through the Ultimate Adventure, they graduate to the Ultimate Challenge. By the time these Clubbers complete their years in Truth and Training, they will have reviewed and memorized 310 verses! T&T Clubbers also participate in their own Awana games!

Please note, because of limited volunteers, Awana is only open this year to the families of Parkdale, Parkdale East, & Harbour Church.
